FAQ – EKG TECHNICIAN COURSE

Is funding available?

While this is not a FASFA-eligible program, we do offer a 0% interest payment plan.

Payment Plan: enrollment deposit of $400 and then four total payments due every two weeks with the first payment due on the first day of class. First three payments: $300 each; fourth payment: $275.

How much does the course cost?

Our EKG technician training is considered very affordable by our students with total costs estimated at $1,575.00.

Is the program in-person or hybrid?

We run in-person EKG technician courses.

How do I enroll into the course?

You may enroll online into any EKG technician class here. Before you enroll, you may also learn about the course by booking a virtual call with an admissions advisor here.

When are the classes?

We run day and weekend EKG technician classes throughout the year at our San Francisco and San Jose campuses. View our class calendar.

How long is the course?

Our comprehensive EKG technican course is 60 hours with an optional 80 hour externship.

What are the admission requirements?

Admissions requirements for the phlebotomy technician course are:

  • Graduation from high school or higher-level academy (GED, adult school, junior college)
  • Payment of minimum deposit
  • One official sealed education transcript
  • Basic English assessment for ESL students and/or those who graduated from a foreign country
  • Complete and up to date COVID-19 vaccination with an updated dose

What does tuition include?

EKG tuition includes:

  • Lectures and Labs
  • Scrubs, textbook, and all in-class materials
  • Optional externship (typically 80 hours, Monday through Friday, 8 am-5 pm)
  • Career Services Support (life-time membership)

Not Included in EKG tuition:

  • National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Exam: $185
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Certification: $100

Can I enroll with a foreign education?

Many BAMA Institute students come to the school with foreign diplomas or college degrees. You can enroll at BAMA Institute if your foreign high school diploma is evaluated for equivalency in the US by the Foundation for International Service.

Will you help me get job after I graduate?

While employment isn’t guaranteed, our Career Services Department will work closely with you to create a career path and support you in your job search. You may learn more here.
