What You Need to Know About Phlebotomist Training

Phlebotomists are responsible for drawing blood samples from patients as instructed by physicians or other health care professionals. They may only be responsible for collecting and handling laboratory samples at a clinical lab, or they may do it as part of their overall medical assistant, patient care technician or EMT duties.

At BAMA Institute, we provide the training you need to manage all the common tasks of a phlebotomist, including:

  • Blood collection

  • Sample documentation and identification

  • Patient comfort and care

  • Safe sample handling and transport

  • Hygiene and infection control protocols

Hospitals and clinics need to be assured that our graduates can step into their job ready to provide top-quality patient healthcare from day one. That’s why our phlebotomy training is as thorough and hands-on as possible.
