Even though California does not require it, most employers who hire EKG technicians do. With demand expected to grow by 10% by 2032, it's an essential skill for any healthcare professional. BAMA Institute prepares you with a 60-hour EKG Technician program that leads to a nationally recognized certification.

BAMA Institute offers an EKG technician program that allows you to quickly supplement your skills or embark on a new career as an EKG tech. Here are the specifics of our program.

Upon completion of the course, students will be eligible to take the Certified EKG Technician exam from the National Health Careers Association.

Our comprehensive sixty-hour course is available for both weekday and weekend classes and includes an optional externship.
Weekday: Monday - Friday, 10:00 am - 3:30 pm
Weekend: Saturday-Sunday 10:00 am-5:00 pm
Please note: We close registration on Thursday at Noon before the class start date for both weekend and weekday courses.

Our EKG Technician program is available at both our campuses.
To meet minimum admissions requirements, you must:
Have a high school diploma, GED, or higher-level degree (ESL students must pass an English test)
Provide one sealed official transcript
Many BAMA Institute students come to the school with foreign diplomas or college degrees. You can enroll at BAMA Institute if your foreign high school diploma is evaluated for equivalency in the US.
