Asking Questions in Class Is Your Key to Success

If you are a student in a class and you care about healthcare training, here's why you should be raising your hand and asking your instructor questions more often.

What’s the benefit of raising your hand and asking questions in class?

Your own success.

So if you’re about to start healthcare training, or are a student in class already, here’s why you should be raising your hand and asking your instructor questions more often.

Why You’ll Become a Better Student Asking Questions in Class

Asking questions in class may be uncomfortable for you at first, especially if it’s something new to you.

You may feel like you don’t want to be the center of attention. or that your question isn’t worth asking.

These are natural feelings.

But BAMA instructors want you to know that it’s important for you to find the courage to ask that question.

Why?

Asking your instructor questions will:

  • Clarify what you’re being taught
  • Increase your knowledge about a topic
  • Single you out as student who likes to participate in class
  • Show commitment to and interest in your education
  • Help you perform better on tests
  • Improve your self-confidence

If asking questions in class really isn’t your thing, then there’s also the opportunity for you to speak to your instructor on a break or after class.

Is that something you can do?

The important thing to remember is not to put off asking your question.

The quicker you ask that question the better. Don’t keep the question you have inside of you. Let it out and be heard.

Remember it’s OK to ask for help.

Learning doesn’t have to be a solitary pursuit. Your instructor is there to ensure your educational success. They want to hear your questions. They want you to learn all that you can and be the best student you can be.

So the next time you have a question, raise your hand.

Speak with your instructor.

You’ll be glad you did.
